Clover 17 Volleyball Squads Finish 1-2 In State Tournament (03/05/13)

The Clover 17 Volleyball Club had a great showing at the Keystone Regional Volleyball Association (KRVA), Junior Olympic State Championships, this past Saturday, March 2.  The event was held at Lock Haven University’s Zimmerli Hall Gymnasium.

The Clover 17 Green Team won The State Championship and the Clover 17 White Team finished in second place.

The Green Team, coached by Shari Campbell and consisting of players from Clarion Area High School, won 4 matches while losing 2. They won 8 sets and lost 4.

The White Team, coached by Tracy Durish and consisting of players from North Clarion High School, had a very similar showing, winning 4 matches while losing 1.  They also won 8 sets while losing 4.

Following the local, Clover 17 teams, were Triad VBC 17 Black, from Harrisburg and Pittsburgh 3 Rivers, in a tie for 3rd place. Valley Volleyball Club 17 and Serious Hits 17-1 finished tied for 5th place.

Congratulations to both Clover 17 squads!!!!!!!!!!!
