Jared Bish Wins Erie Sport Store Flagship City Junior Tour Event (07/05/14)

Jared Bish, a junior-to-be at Clarion High School, heard about the Erie Sport Store Flagship City Junior Tour on Monday (June 23) while playing at another regional event, with tour regular Eric Maginnis. Bish decided to give the 2nd year tour a try, making the trip for the 8am shotgun start. He left Riverside with hardware, as his tournament best three-over-par 74 and took home top honors overall, as well as, the boys 16-18 age division. His round was one better than age division leader Jake Van Slyke, who carded a 75.

In boys 13 to 15 action, Mercyhurst Prep’s Carl Palotas IV nearly holed out twice for eagle, enroute to a 76, one better than Cathedral Prep sophomore Nate Maciak and two ahead of age group leader Ryan Misko (78).

In girls action, Georgia Capotis continued her winning ways, taking her second 2014 tour event in as many tries, with a girls’ best 76. She was followed by Warren senior Megan Smoulder and General McLane’s Michaela Redingor.

Finally, McDowell’s Claire Orr added to her trophy case with another win tinthe girls’ 13-15 age group, her third of the summer.
