Clarion Boys And Girls Golf Action, Derek Lauer Medalist At Hunter Station, Claire Saylor First At High Level And Clarion Oakes. (09/14/14)

The Bobcat Boys and Girls Golf Teams both saw action last week. Clarion Boys Coach, Jay Kerle shares this summary of the week’s action:

 
BOYS
Mega Match 5 was played at Hunters Station, on Wednesday (September 10) night, with Venango Catholic winning as a team.

Clarion’s Derek Lauer had the low round for the third time this season with a 38. Derek climbed the overall rankings to third in the KSAC. Clarion’s Jared Bish finished second with a 39 and continues to have a solid year. Jared currently has a 9 shot lead in the KSAC individual standings over Keystone’s Amber Hess.

 
Clarion finished 8th as a team. John Allen had a 54, Alex Struble had a 65 and Prince Brooks had a 79.

The Boys Golf Team’s next match is at Foxburg on On Tuesday (September 16th).

GIRLS
Claire Saylor was medalist in both matches this week and led the team to victory.

The girls traveled to HiLevel on Tuesday (September 9). Claire was medalist with a 45. Tylin Conner tied for second with a 46. Also adding scores for the Bobcats were Carina Burns with a 48 and Julie Kenneson with a 50.

Clarion hosted the mega match on Thursday (September 11) at Clarion Oaks.

Claire Saylor had the low round of the day with a 45. Carina Burns took third with a 49. Also adding scores for Clarion were Tylin Conner with a 53 and Julie Kenneson with a 54.

The next match is Monday (September 15) at Foxburg.
