Liam Raehsler Wins Boys Division Clarion All Comers Cross Country Meet (09/02/14)

The Clarion All-Comers Meet was held on Tuesday (September 2nd), at Clarion County Park.The Cranberry Boys and Girls varsity cross country teams opened their season with a sweep.

In the boys race, Liam Raehsler of Clarion was the winner with a time of 17:40.

Harrison Kennan of Cranberry was second followed by John Miller of Oil City. Sam Lander, Paul Zacherl, and Nolan Brannon of Cranberry finished fourth, seventh, and eighth respectively. John Anderson was the top runner for AC Valley finishing fifth. Broc Schoeppner of Keystone finished ninth while Bryce Ellenberger of Karns City finished fifteenth.

Other Clarion Varsity boys times: Adam Bettwy – 19:54.1, Jimmy Smathers – 21:17.8, Crowe Thiem – 21:28.8, Marshall Powers – 24:17.5 and Victor Stahlman – 28:34.5.

Kristin Reynolds of Cranberry won the girls race with a time of 22:32 with teammates Tifany Berry and Suzie Sheatz finishing third and fifth respectively. Savannah King of Oil City finished second, Kelly Daugherty of Keystone finished fourth, Shannon Quaill of AC Valley finished sixth and Hannah Frakes of Clarion finished seventh, with a time of 24:50.0. Rebecca Pennington was the top female runner for Karns City finishing in eleventh.

Other Clarion Varsity girls times: Lil Frakes – 31:21.1, Maci Reichart – 31:21.5, Liz Saver – 32:54.8 and Mackenzie DiTullio – 33:45.8.

Max Thompson of Keystone won the Junior High boys race while Lauren Varsek of Cranberry won the junior high girls race. The top Clarion Junior High boys finisher was Nathaniel Lerch, who finished seventh, with a time of 11:36.5. While Wendy Beveridge led the Clarion girls with a fifth place finish, at 13:42.9.

Other Bobcat Junior High boys times: Nick Schill – 14:02.2, Curtis Shipley – 14:10.8, Clay McElravy – 14:34.4, Daniel Ketner – 15:43.3, Noah Schill – 18:02.4 and Conner McNichols – 18:56.5.

Other Clarion Junior High girls times: Katie Craig – 14:27.9, Emma Spitz – 15:07.4, Gabriella Fleming – 16:18.3, Brianna Crusan – 16:26.3, Hailey Sintobin – 16:34.1 and Kyliegh Craddock -19:02.9.
