Bobcat Jared Bish Ties For Ninth, Keystone’s Amber Hess Finishes Fifth In PIAA State Golf Tournamment (10/23/14)

Clarion Bobcat, Jared Bish and Keystone Lady Panther, Amber Hess competed in the PIAA State Class AA Golf Championships, on Tuesday, at Heritage Hills Gof Resort at York. Both had excellent showings. Clarion Boys Golf Coach Jay Kerle shares this article on the two area athletes’ performances.

Jared Bish finished his junior year of high school golf with a strong finish at the PIAA State Championship.

Jared shot 79 the first day and was tie for 11th at the end of day one. He followed up the 79 with an 80 on day two for a 36 hole total of 159 and tied for 9th place in Boys AA.

Jared played great from tee to green in the tournament. He struggled some with the putter but never gave up.

Great season Jared, we are very proud of you!

Keystone’s junior Amber Hess represented the KSAC in the girls AA.

Amber shot 84-86 for a two day total of 170 and finished 5th.

Congratulations on a great season Amber.

Jared and Amber both received medals and flags for there performance at the State Championship.
