Ian Corbett and Coach Wiser Named To D9Sports.com Week 5 Football Honor Roll (10/02/14)

Clarion Bobcat, Ian Corbett was named to the D9Sports.com Week 5 Honor Roll for his great performance in the Bobcats’ 46-0 victory at Keystone, last Thursday (September 25). Corbett carried the ball 18 times, gaining 248 yards and scoring 4 touchdowns. He also intercepted a pass.

Clarion Coach Larry Wiser, in a rare appearance by a coach was also named in honor of his winning his 184th game, to pass the late Union coaching legend Rich Vidunas, as the All-Time Career Wins Leader in the Little 7-12/KSAC and move to 4th place in District Nine.

The Player of the Week was Smethport quarterback Dustin Zetwick, for his prowess in a victory over Sheffield. Zetwick had 203 passing yards, completing 12 of 20. He threw four touchdown passes and also ran for 96 yards. He threw the winning touchdown pass, with a minute left in the Hubbers’ come from behind, 33-32 win.

Other KSAC Honor Roll selectees were: Kyle Robertson – Clarion-Limestone, Jake Dougherty – Redbank Valley, T.J. Hogan – St. Marys and Cody Deal – Karns City.

Others from throughout the district to be named were: Kyle Langdon – Bradford, Caleb Burnside and Rusty Setzer – Cameron County, Erik Sellers – Clearfield, Nick Stewart – Curwensville, Gabe French – DuBois, Mitchell Smith – Elk County Catholic, John English – Kane, and Marquis Clark and Adam Higby – Sheffield.
