Another fine Clarion Area Bobcat football season came to a close on Saturday (November, 15) night, as they fell 18-8, to the Kane Wolves , at E. J. Mansell Stadium, in Dubois, in the District Nine Class-A Semi-Final. The Bobcats finished the season at 10-2, their third straight season with ten wins or more.

Ian Corbett ran for 86 yards giving him exactly 2000 yards on the season, making him the first player in Little 7-12/KSAC history to rush for 2000 yards in a single campaign.

The Bobcats opened the scoring with 56 seconds left in the first quarter when Corbett ran the ball in for a 1 yard touchdown and followed by carrying for the two point conversion, making the score 8-0, Cats. The touchdown was set up on a beautiful pass play from Taylor Smith to Thomas Plummer.

The Wolves came back to tie the score at 8-all, at 4:49 of the second quarter, on a  7 yard, Jack Kocjancic to Tyler Weidenhoff touchdown pass. The two hooked up again, on the conversion.

Kocjancic hit Logan Zuzek with a 17 yard scoring pass, with 2:29 left in the third quarter and Dillon Mattis kicked the extra point to give Kane a 15-8 lead.

It looked as though the Cats would score, on their next possession but the Wolves recovered a fumble on their two yard line, early in the fourth quarter, to thwart the drive.

A 32 yard field goal by Mattis with a little over three minutes left in the game, set the 18-8 final.

The Bobcats had six players finish their careers in the Orange and Black: Ian Corbett, Thomas Plummer, Ethan Straffin, Destin Strauser, Jacob Troutman and Matt Wagner. (Congratulations to the Cats on another fine season and to these seniors on fine careers!!!!)
