With the possibility of cold weather this weekend, the fall ball season ended on October 29th. This was a unique opportunity for the 6-8 year olds. Not only did they get a good taste of playing on the little league field, but it was their first experience of playing under the lights. The 9-12 year old players finished their season on October 28th.

This inaugural season of fall ball has been a great success, and that is thanks to every parent and child that participated. We are looking forward to making this a tradition that continues to grow in the coming years. Once again, I would like to thank the entire community for the support that they have shown during this season.

Upcoming Happenings

Here is a taste of the agenda over the next couple of months. On Tuesday, November 5, the board and I will be meeting with Chief Mark Hall to go over the blueprints that will be for the park building project over the next couple months. Our next meeting is on November 9th. After that meeting, I will be submitting monthly board articles to let everyone know what is going on with the league.

On December 7th, Mayor Dude Walters is going to be issuing a proclamation at the Clarion Borough Board meeting for the Clarion 8 & under Dugout team recognizing their summer. I will write an article about that and submit a picture.

We also should be setting the official agenda for the upcoming year. This will include all important preseason dates, such as sign ups, fund raising drives, etc. I think that will be finalized at the December 14th meeting. With that article, I would like to submit a picture of the the baseball board. I think it is important for the community to see the faces of those that are running the league.
