Several of the Rivershark swimmers kicked into the regular swim season by participating in their first ever swim meet. Also, seasoned swimmers dropped seconds off of their best times which placed them ahead of their Brookville competitors and earned them first place finishes.

In addition to dropping times, a number of Riversharks qualified for Districts.

The following Riversharks were able to swim their way into district qualifying:

Patrick Young in 50 yd. freestyle and in 50 yd. butterfly
Bailee Verdill in 50 yd. freestyle
Parker Boyden in 200 yd. freestyle, 100 yd. IM, 50 yd. backstroke and 100 yd. freestyle
Marshall Powers in 50 yd. freestyle
Nathaniel Lerch in 50 yd. freestyle
Mason Burns in 100 yd. breaststroke, 200 yd. IM
Alayna Murray 100 yd. breaststroke
and the 200 yd. freestyle relay of: Kyle Bettwy, Adam Bettwy, Crowe Thiem and Isaac Wilson

Thanks to Head Coach Sam VanDyke and all of her Clarion University assistants and all of her hard work, dedication and countless hours, the Clarion County YMCA Riversharks swam past the Brookville Barracudas with a score of Clarion 484 and Brookville 295!

Congratulations and great job!!!!
