Mayor J. David Walters Honors 8-U Dugout With A Proclamation (12/03/14)

At the start of the Clarion Borough Board meeting on December 2nd, 2014, Mayor David Walters awarded The Dugout sponsored 8U baseball team a special proclamation for their triumphs on the baseball diamonds all over western PA this past summer.
Mayor Walters cited and gave recognition to the team’s tournament wins in Curwensville, St. Mary’s, Brookville, Punxsutawney and the home tournament in Clarion.
Mayor Walter’s further declared that Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014 to be Dugout day here in Clarion.
I would like to thank Mayor Walters for this proclamation, and a special thanks to Dugout owner Randy Bell for sponsoring the team.
Good job Dugout, you earned it!
The Proclamation:
PROCLAMATION THE DUGOUT 8 AND UNDER TOURNAMENT TEAM DAY DECEMBER 3, 2014
WHEREAS, the Dugout 8 and Under Tournament Team from the players from Clarion Little League went an amazing 25-1 in tournament play for the 2014 season; and
WHEREAS, the Dugout won tournaments in Curwensville, St. Marys, Punxsutawney, Kirby Hetrick Memorial (Brookville) and the Dan Estadt Memorial (Clarion); and
WHEREAS, in the history of Clarion Little League, no 8 and Under team has had the season this team did for 2014 season; and
WHEREAS, their famous slogan “What’s the fastest way to get off this field?”; response “Three outs.” now “Let’s get them” will be remembered forever.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, J. DAVID WALTERS, MAYOR OF THE BOROUGH OF CLARION, do hereby proclaim and declare the 3rd day of December 2014, to be Dugout Day and ask everybody in Clarion Area to join in celebration and support of the 8 and Under Dugout Tournament.
