Basketball: Lady Bobcat JVs Rebound From Loss To Karns City With Win Over Cranberry (01/22/15)

The Clarion Area Lady Bobcat JV Basketball Team downed the homestanding Cranberry Lady Berries, 27-22, on Wednesday (January 21st) rebounding from a 58-16 loss to the visiting Karns City Lady Gremlins, on Monday (January 19th).

In Wednesday’s game, the Lady Cats trailed the Lady Berries 4-2 after one, but came back to lead 12-10 at the half. Each team scored five points in the third quarter, giving Clarion a 17-15 lead heading to the last stanza. The fourth quarter saw the Cats outscore the Berries 10-7 to set the 27-22 final.

Kelly Beveridge led Clarion with 14 points. Alexis Constantino had three points. Chelsea Mason, Sophie Wolf, Sadie Rudesyle, Maya Thornton and Gloria Kroh each chipped in with two points apiece.

Constantino led the Lady Cats in scoring, against Karns City, with 7 points. Beveridge had 3 points, Wolf and Kroh contributed 2 points, while Rudesyle and Thornton each scored a point.

Friday’s (January 23rd) game with Forest Area has been postponed. The Lady Cats are scheduled to host North Clarion on Monday (January 26th).
