Basketball: Varsity Boys Drop Contests To Moniteau And Keystone (01/18/15)

The Clarion Area Varsity Basketball Team played at Moniteau on Friday (January, 16th) and at Keystone on Saturday (January 17th), falling to the Warriors, 43-39 and to the Panthers, 46-40.

Taylor Smith and Ceventh Lynch-Skunda each had 11 points in Friday’s game. Smith also had 8 rebounds and four steals. Lynch-Skunda pulled down six rebounds. Cam Craig had 9 points and Thomas Plummer had eight rebounds.

The Cats were up 29-23, going into the fourth quarter, but the Warriors used a 20-10 scoring advantage in the final stanza to pull out the win.

Lynch-Skunda led the Cats, in the contest against Keystone, with 13 points, while Smith and Craig had nine points apiece. Plummer had a good all-around game, with 17 rebounds, 4 points and six steals.

The Cats were down by 3, with a minute to go in the game, but missed on several opportunities.

The Bobcats will travel to Karns City tomorrow (January 19th).
