Bobcat Wrestling Boosters Host “Super” Novice Tournament (01/21/15)

(By Coach Dave Smail)

On January 3rd , the Clarion Area Wrestling Booster Club hosted a “Super” Novice Tournament at the Clarion Area High School. The weather at least cooperated briefly in the morning allowing wrestlers from all over to come and showcase their hard work and determination. Some areas represented were Mars, Kittanning, Oil City, Keystone, Curwensville, Brookville, Redbank Valley and more……

We tried something new this year by opening it up to “3rd year” wrestlers (1st year Open wrestlers with less than 40% Open success). This allowed us to open the doors to almost 100 area wrestlers ranging from ages 5 thru 12.

Many thanks needs to go out to all of the Clarion wrestling families who volunteered their time and offered their support to these hardworking kids.

Thanks to Varsity Wrestlers & Coaches – Setting up and tearing down mats, referees, etc.

Thanks to Jr. High Wrestlers & Coaches – Running the Tables, Cleaning Up

Thanks to All Parents – Food, Concessions, Tables, Clean Up, and allowing your children to participate in the Elementary program.
