Boys Varsity Basketball Team Falls To North Clarion (01/14/15)

The Clarion Area Boys Varsity Basketball Team fell to visiting North Clarion  62-52 on Tuesday night (January 13th).

The Wolves led 21-13 after one and 34-24 at the half. Clarion came back, in the third, outscoring North Clarion 14-8 and the Wolves led by just six points, 42-38, as the teams headed to the final stanza. But a 20-14 Wolves’ advantage, in the fourth set the final.

Taylor Smith led Clarion with a career high, 28 points. Eighteen of his points came from 3-point range, where he bucketed six shots. Cam Craig added 11 points. Ceventh Lynch-Skunda had 6 points, Zach Hill had 5 and Thomas Plummer had two.

The Wolves’ Christian Cyphert led all scorers with 3o points, while Dylan Nick had sixteen.

The Bobcats are now 3-5 and will play at Moniteau on Friday.
