Boys Basketball Team Holds Banquet (03/12/15)

The Clarion Area Boys Basketball Team held their banquet on Sunday (March 8th) at Zion Church in Reidsburg.

Varsity head coach Todd Smith opened the event by welcoming those in attendance and then prayed the invocation and blessed the meal.

After the meal Coach Smith thanked several of the volunteers. Among them were Booster Club President and videographer Brian Burford, scorekeeper Don Skunda. He also thanked his assistant coaches, Cameron Kirkland, Tom Lewis and B. J. Wrhen.

Wrhen, also the JV coach, shared memories of the J. V. season and introduced JV players.

Coach Smith then introduced the Varsity players and shared highlights about the players. He also mentioned that success was a process and that the team worked through adversity. He stated that they worked to get along, put each other first and sacrificed.

A feature of the program was presenting seniors Derek Lauer and Thomas Plummer with gifts, including mounted action photos of themselves.

Sophomores: Reed Anthony, Ryan Anthony, Ty Burford, Ceventh Lynch-Skunda, Vic Stahlman

Freshmen: Cam Craig, Tom Hearst, Christian Smith
