Bobcats Down Wolves And Panthers In Track And Field Tri-Meet (04/09/15)
The Clarion Area Boys Track and Field Team traveled to North Clarion on Wednesday (April 8th) and came away with a Tri-Meet victory over the homestanding Wolves, 75-74 and the Keystone Panthers, 89-48.
Quadruple winner Ian Corbett and triple winner Liam Raehsler led the way for the Bobcats.
Corbett’s victories came in the 100 (11.1), 200 (23.4), long jump (20-6) and as a member of the 400 relay, with Zach Hill, Matt Wagner and Ty Burford (46.5).
Raehsler was victorious in the 1600 (4:55.2) and3200 (10:15.4) and in the 3200 relay, along with Adam Bettwy, Jimmy Smathers and Kyle Bettwy (10:15.4). Raehsler also finished second in the 800.
Ethan Straffin was a double winner, taking the discus (114-1) and the javelin (133-7). Straffin also took third in the shot put. Hill was also a double winner. In addition to his victory on the 400 relay team, he won the high jump (5-7). Burford took second in the triple jump and Josh Kriebel finished second in the 100 hurdles.
Adam Bettwy was third in the 3200, Wagner was third in the 100 and Smathers was third in the 800.
