Mike is an avid competitor, constantly looking for the next challenge. He recently finished the regular wrestling season as a varsity wrestler for Clarion Area High School. During the regular season the wrestlers compete in folkstyle wrestling.

This was his first ever attempt at the Greco-Roman style of wrestling. However, among his other training he trains Judo at Clarion MMA and was able to use those Judo techniques to defeat his opponents via pin and tech fall to earn the silver medal at the regional qualifier and secure an invitation to the PAWF Freestyle/Greco state finals in May.

Mike’s next competition will be in the sport of submission grappling at the 2015 NAGA World Grappling Championship in New Jersey at the end of this month.
