C.A.L.L. 11-12 Softball All-Stars Complete Season; Coach Constantino Announces Retirement (07/11/15)
The Clarion Area Little League 11-12 Softball All-Stars finished their season in the Area Championships, at Union City, this week.
They lost to Union City, 10-0, in the opening round game. Clarion was down by only 4-0, after the top of the fourth inning, but had several errors leading to Union City scores.
Clarion faced Cochranton, in the losers bracket game, on Thursday, losing 11-6.
Clarion Manager, Dave Constantino said, “(The Clarion) girls played hard and battled to the last out. They made us proud.
“We got down early and fought our way back and couldn’t get the clutch hit in the bottom of the 6th, (leaving) the
bases loaded.”
With the loss to Cochranton, the season came to an end for Clarion. And also a great chapter in Clarion Area Little League Softball comes to an end, as Coach Constantino has announced that this was his last hurrah.
Coach Constantino said, “(The) season comes to a close as does my career with little league. After 13 seasons it is time for me to ride into the sunset and become a spectator.”
This community owes Coach Constantino and his wife and fellow Janney coach, Kim a debt of gratitude, for their tireless efforts in advancing Softball in this area and their work in helping to mold their players into young women that Clarion and the surrounding community can be proud of.
THANK YOU DAVE AND KIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
