Lady Cats Open Season With Win (09/10/15)

Clarion’s three goal scorers: Hope Hazlett, Forest Mills and Kelly Beveridge

The Clarion Area Lady Cats kicked off the 2015 soccer season with an exciting 3-2 victory over visiting Brockway.

Forest Mills started the scoring for Clarion, but Brockway soon answered with a pair of goals to give them a 2-1 lead.  Hope Hazlett drew the Lady Cats even once again with a resilient run through the Brockway defense.

Kelly Beveridge scored the game winning goal midway through the 2nd half assisted by a strong goalie punt from Freshman sister, Wendy Beveridge.

It was a great start to the 2015 season, in which the team showed strong teamwork and skill in moving the ball through the opponent’s defense.
