JV Football Team Downs Redbank Valley, Moves Record To 5-1 (11/05/15)

The Clarion Area Bobcat JV Football Team traveled to New Bethlehem on Monday (November 2nd), to face the Redbank Valley Bulldogs and came away with a 16-0 win.

The Bobcats got on the board at 5:24 of the first quarter, when defensive tackle Karlin Hiles sacked the Bullldogs’ quarterback in the end zone, for a safety and a 2-0 lead.

Running back Korbin Schill took a toss to the left, for a six yard touchdown run, with twenty-nine seconds left in the half. The two-point attempt failed and the Cats took an 8-0 lead into the half.

Bobcat quarterback Traeson Douglas threw to his left and hitting wide receiver Keeven Weaver, who ran across the field to his right, for a 15 yard touchdown, at 6:23 of the third quarter. Douglas rolled to his left, looking to throw, but ran for the two-point conversion, for the final points of the game.

Cameron Hearst intercepted a Redbank Valley pass, at the Clarion 3 yard line with fifty-six seconds left in the game, to seal the shutout.

The 16-0 win moved the Bobcat JV’s season record to 5-1.
