Basketball: Lady Cats Fall To North Clarion (02/15/16)

The Clarion Area Girls Basketball dropped a 53-35 decision to visiting North Clarion Lady Wolves on Wednesday (February 3rd).

The Wolves held a 12-4 lead after one. Each team scored ten points in the second, to make the halftime score 22 -14, North Clarion. The Bobcats managed just two third quarter points, while the Wolves posted sixteen, giving North Clarion a 38-16 lead heading into the final stanza. A 19-15 Clarion advantage, in the fourth, set the final.

Wendy Beveridge led the Lady Cats with 20 points, including three 3-pointers. Anna Reed added five points. Gloria Kroh and Maddie Weaver each had 4 points, while Maya Thornton had two.

Abbie Schmader led the Lady Wolves with 19 points, while Tori Obenrader scored seventeen.

The Lady Cats will travel to East Forest High School, in Marienville, to take on the Forest Area Fires, today (Friday, February 5th)
