Track And Field: Bobcats, Lady Cats Fall To Karns City And Moniteau (04/17/16)

The Clarion Area Track and Field Teams competed in tri-meets against Karns City and Moniteau, on Wednesday (April 13th), with the Karns City hosting the boys’ meet and Moniteau hosting the girls’ meet.

The Bobcat boys fell to Karns City 107-43 and to Moniteau 90-60. The Lady Cats dropped a 96-54 decision to Karns City and 99-51 contest to Moniteau.

Overall, in the Boys meet: Adam Bettwy had two firsts, 1600 (5:03.9) and 3200 (11:27.7), Josh Krieble had a first in the 110 high hurdles (15.3) and a third in the triple jump. Brendan Zerfoss had a second in the 200 and a third in the 100, while Austin Hummell finished third in the 800.

Overall, for the Girls: Wendy Beveridge won the long jump (14-3.25) and finished second in the triple jump. Gabby Weaver finished first in the 300 hurdles (51.46) and third in the 100 hurdles. Alexa Kriebel took second in the 100 and third in the long jump.

Lexi Lauer finished second in the High Jump. Four other Lady Cats also took thirds: Katie Craig (1600), Forest Mills (800)m Gloria Kroh (triple jump) and Elsa Tovar (Discus).
