Bobcat Girls Junior High Basketball Summaries (11/24/16)

The Clarion Area Junior High Girls Basketball Teams are having a fine season. A-Team coach angela Neiderriter and B-Team coach Chrissy Kriebel provided details this week.

A-TEAM GAMES

The A-Team lost a close game with Union, falling 33-28. Jordan Best led the Lady Cats with 8 points, followed by Payton Simko with five. Ava Cherico scored four points. Maria Bradley had3 points, while Evelyn Lerch, Emily Grabiak, Sarah Clark and Korrin Burns each scored two points.

The Lady Cats downed Karns City by a score of 30-8. Jordan Best again led Clarion, tallying nine points. Hanna Hazlett had five points. Evelyn Lerch and Payton  Simko scored four points apiece. Cait Murtha and Paola Lopez each had 3 points, while Korrin Burns scored two points.

The Lady Cats downed Moniteau 36-20. Jordan Best was Clarion’s high scorer, with twelve points. Evelyn Lerch scored 4 points, while Payton Simko and Brennah Copenhaver each had two.

Clarion won a tight 28-27 game against the Clarion-Limestone Lady Lions. Payton Simko led Clarion with eight points. Ava Cherico followed, with 6 points, while Evelyn Lerch had four. Maria Bradley and Jordan Best each contributed three points, with Korrin Burns and Brennah Copenhaver both scoring a pair of points.

B-TEAM GAMES

The Lady Cat B-Team recently fell to Moniteau 28-22. Korrin Burns led Clarion with ten points. Noel Anthony and Rebekah Ketner each contributed four points. Sarah Clark and Jenna Miller each scored two.

jr-high-7Clarion defeated Clarion-Limestone 26-24. Jordan Best led the Lady Cats with 6 points followed by Korrin Burns and Payton Simko with five points apiece. Rebekah Ketner and Paola Lopez had 4 points apiece, while Allie Stivanson chipped in two points.

In earlier B-Team Games:

Clarion downed Clarion-Limestone 28-17. Payton Simko and Jordan Best each scored seven points to lead the Lady Cats. Evelyn Lerch and Jordan Best were one point behind, with each scoring six. Sarah Clark scored two.

Clarion beat Cranberry 40-0. Payton Simko and Jordan Best each had ten points. Korrin Burns had 6 points and Noel Anthony had four. Evelyn Lerch, Angel Dunkle, Ava Kiser, Rebekah Ketner and Paola Lopez each had two points.

The Lady Cats faced North Clarion and came away with a 39-2 win. Jordan Best had a big night with eighteen points. Korrin Burns had 7 points, Payton Simko had 6 points and Evelyn Lerch had four points. Jenna Miller and Allie Stivanson scored two points apiece.

Clarion had a close game with West Forest, winning 9-3. Jordan Best had four points to lead the Lady Cats. Ava Kiser had 3 points and Riley Burford had two.

Jordan Best had 18 points to lead Clarion to a 42-6 win, over A-C Valley. Evelyn Lerch had 8 points, whiled Paola Lopez had six points. Sarah Clark and Riley Burford had two points.

The Lady Cats won a close 19-17 decision, over Redbank Valley. Payton Simko led the way, with six points. Paola Lopez had 4 points, Korrin Burns had 3 points and Jordan Best, Evelyn Lerch and Jenna Miller each had two points.

Payton Simko led the Lady Cats, in a 30-14 win over Union, with six points. Jordan Best and Evelyn Lerch each had 5 points, while Noel Anthony, Korrin Burns, Riley Burford and Rebekah Ketner had two points apiece.

The Lady Cats downed Karns City 21-13, led by Jordan Best’s thirteen points. Evelyn Lerch scored 4 points, while Noel Anthony and Payton Simko each had two points.
