Thirty Clarion County YMCA Riversharks Compete At Oil City Thanksgiving Invitational (12/06/16)

Thirty members of the Clarion County YMCA Riversharks Swim Team were strong competitors on Saturday, November 26 at the Oil City YMCA Thanksgiving invitational held at Oil City High School.

The Oil City YMCA Invitational meet always provides some of the best competition from the western part of the state of Pennsylvania. Over 250 swimmers competed from nine different YMCAs.

The Riversharks sent swimmers ranging in age from 6 to 16 to compete in various events throughout the day.

Brothers Kevin and Patrick Young earned seven medals combined for top finishes at the invitational.

 

Several Riversharks swimmers medaled, claiming top three spots in events.

Several other team members earned points for top twelve finishes for the Clarion County YMCA Riversharks. Also competing were: Emmaline Ramsey, Ella Campbell, Gabbie Texter, Sydney Baumcratz, Millicent Weinlein, Kylan Clark, Layton Dunn, Bailee Verdill, Beau Verdill, Natali Kahle, Kayte Beinhaur, Brayden Murray, William Murray, Gavyn Dunn, Jocalyn Henry, Tyler Bingham, Owen Shaffer and Kaine McFarland.

The Clarion County YMCA hours are: Weekdays 5 am – 8 pm and Saturdays from 7 am –2 pm. The YMCA is now open Sundays from 9 am – 2pm.
