Jr. High Basketball A-Team Comes Together for a Win!

The Jr. High Basketball team traveled to Frills Corner to match up with the Wolves coached by a familiar face, (former Clarion Varsity Boys coach) Ed Baumcratz.

The first quarter got off to a fast start as the Bobcats scored 11 points by four different players Ethan Burford, Hunter Cradock, Ben Murtha and Tyler Schmader. The Bobcats held a slim 11-9 lead at the end of one quarter.

The second quarter saw the Wolves pick up the offense. As both teams shuffled players in out, the Wolves outscored the Bobcats 13-10, to gain a one point advantage, on a last second shot, 22-21 at the half.

Following some quick half-time adjustments, The Bobcats were back running the floor scoring 13 points to North Clarion’s 8, with Mitch Geiger adding to the action and Ben Murtha hitting a 3 and going to the free throw line.

The final frame saw clarion Keeping the pressure on again, Scoring another 13 to the Wolves 8. It was Cal German who shined in the fourth quarter for the Bobcats. Gatesman was the high scorer for North Clarion in a well played game!

Bobcat Jr. High-A Team Downs the Fires

Coming off of the road games, the Bobcats played their home opener against Forest Area and started fast opening up an 11-4 lead in the first quarter. Hunter Craddock led the way.

The second quarter saw Ben Murtha distributing the ball around the floor for the Bobcats best offensive output and strong defensive quarter. Half time score 23-10.

The second half saw lots of playing time for all squad members as the Bobcats shuffled players in like hockey shifts. The Bobcats emerged victorious 37-23
