Basketball: Bobcats And Lady Cats Fall In Double Header At Keystone (01/28/17)

The Clarion Area Boys and Girls Basketball Teams traveled to Knox, on Friday (January 27th) to face Keystone. The Panthers won the boys game 52-45 and the Lady Panthers prevailed 58-39.

BOYS GAME

The score was tied 12-all after one, but Keystone held a three point 25-22 lead at the half. The Cats came back and the score was tied at 35 after three, before 17-10 Panthers advantage, in the fourth, set the 52-45 final.

Reed Anthony paced the Bobcats with 15 points, with all of his scoring from three point range. Cam Craig followed with 10, Ceventh Lynch-Skunda had 9 points Austin Hummell scored 3 and Spencer Miller scored two.

Corey Rapp and Nate Wingard led Keystone with 16 and fifteen points respectively.

The Bobcats will play at Brockway on Monday (January 30th) and at Venango Catholic on Tuesday (January 31st).

GIRLS GAME

The Lady Cats were down by thirteen, at 18-8 after one, but played pretty even over the next two periods. The second saw each team score twelve points, and Keystone outscored Clarion by only one point in the third, 11-10. The Lady Panthers held a 17-12 advantage in the final frame.

Alexis Constantino led the Lady Cats with eighteen points. Wendy Beveridge had nine points. Gloria Kroh scored 7 points and Kaitlyn Constantino had five.

Taylor Geer had thirty-three points for the Lady Panthers.

The Lady Cats will host Brookville on Wednesday (February 1st).
