Basketball: Bobcats Finish Second In Carl Truance Holiday Tournament (01/01/17)

The Clarion Area Boys Basketball Team finished in second place in the Carl Truance Holiday Tournament at Punxsutawney Area High School.

The Cats downed Marion Center 67-51, in the opening round on Wednesday (December 28th) behind Cam Craig’s 19 points and Austin Hummell’s seventeen. The halftime score was 67-21.

With the win Clarion advanced to the title game, on Thursday (December 29th), where they fell to the host Chucks 59-44. This was Punxsutawney’s third straight title in the tournament.

Hummell and Craig were both named to the All-Tournament Team.

Moniteau won the Girls title.
