Bobcat Grapplers Fall To Dutch (01/22/17)

The Clarion Area Bobcat Grapplers dropped a 43-27 decision to the Flying Dutchmen of St. Marys, on Friday, January 20th, at Tippin Gymnasium.

The Bobcats forfeited at 106. Then Logan Dehner won 11-5, at 113 to cut the Dutch lead to 6-3. St. Marys won by forfeit at 120 and Bobcat Ezekiel Brewer fell by technical fall at 126. Frank Weber lost a one-point 9-8 decision at 132 and Ryley McMaster fell by major decision at 138. St. Marys now led 24-3.

Sterling Conner lost by fall at 145, moving the Dutch lead to 30-3.

Mike LeFay won by fall, in 1:59m at 152. Then the Cats had three straight forfeit wins: Colton Rapp at 160, Seth Nellis at 170 and Bryce Klawhun at 182, cutting St. Marys’ lead to 30-27.

Ben Smith fell by major decision at 195, making the score 34-27, Dutch.

Tom Wurster lost a close 9-7 overtime decision at 220 and Justin Goodman lost by fall at 285, to set the final.
