Jr. High Basketball ‘A” Team defeat Keystone in a Thriller! (02/01/17)

Playing on their home court, the Bobcats matched up with Panthers for an exciting game. The Panthers put the pressure on early and got off to an early 8-0 run. Following a Bobcat timeout out, the Bobcats regrouped but were still down 12-3 at the end of one quarter.

The second quarter saw the Bobcats make a run leading the Panther 8-4. Clarion spread the ball around with points by Ethan Burford, Hunter Craddock, Cal German and Ben Murtha. The halftime score was Keystone 15 Clarion 12.

The third quarter saw the biggest offensive output by both teams, as Clarion lead Keystone 15-11. Tyler Schmader joined his teammates chipping in 5 points. The Bobcat held a slim 27-26 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter.

The teams played a tight fourth quarter with the Bobcats narrowly outscoring the Panthers 11-9 to come away with a 38-35 victory. Gavin Hogue lead the way for Keystone, knocking down 12 points.

These two teams will continue to be fun to watch in the future.

The Bobcats return to action Tuesday, February 7th at 3:30 PM against the A-C Valley Falcons!
