Sportsmanship 1 All-Star Games To Be Played On Saturday (03/26/17)

The Clarion County YMCA will hold their annual Sportsmanship 1 Boys’ and Girls’ All-Star Games, featuring graduating seniors from throughout District Nine, this Saturday (April 1st), at Keystone High School.

The Girls’ Game will begin at 2:00PM and the Boys’ Game will follow at 4:00PM. There will be a 10 minute (running clock) contests between third and fourth grade YMCA Teams, during halftime of each game.

Terry Dreihaup from North Clarion and Barb Close from Otto-Eldred will coach one of the Girls’ teams and Dave Kerschbaumer from Karns City and Dave Sullivan from Cameron County will coach the other squad.

Keystone’s Greg Heath and Elk County Catholic’s Aaron Staub will coach one of the Boys’ teams and Clearfield’s Nate Glunt and Coudersport’s Brian Furman will coach the other team.

An MVP and a Sportsmanship Award will be given out for each game.  The annual Sportsperson of the Year will also be named.

Players from the area participating are for the Girls – Michaela Higgins and Cassie Wagner from North Clarion and Lexi  Shick from Union and for the Boys – Austin Ion and Tanner Wilson from Keystone and Dan Callen from Clarion-Limestone.
