Track And Field: Bobcats Tie Gremlins, Fall To Warriors, Lady Cats Fall To Both Schools (04/15/17)

The Bobcat Boys Track and Field Team traveled to Moniteau on Wednesday (April 12th) for a tri-meet with Moniteau and Karns City. The Cats tied the Karns City 75-75 and fell to Moniteau 96-54. The Lady Cats faced the same schools at Karns City, falling to Karns City 80-70 and 81-69 to Moniteau.

(Place finishes are factored as all three schools competing against each other, in tri-meet.)

BOYS

Brendan Zerfoss was a triple winner, capturing the 100 (11.4), 200 (23.0) and teaming with Marshal powers, Archer Mills and Ty Burford to win the 4×100 relay (45.0). Adam Bettwy won the 3200 (10:55) and took second in the 1600, while Tom Hearst won the pole vault (10-3).

Burford finished second in the triple jump and third in the long jump. Mills finished second in the high jump and Jimmy Smathers was second in the javelin. Austin Hummell was third in the 800.

GIRLS

Kyara Girvan won the 200 (28.5) and took second in the hundred. Wendy Beveridge finished first in the long jump (16-0) and second in the triple jump. Gabby Weaver took the 300 hurdles (50.3) and finished third in the 100 hurdles. Lexie Lauer won the high jump (4-11).

Laken Lewis had a second in the 100 hurdles and a third in the long jump. Katie Craig had a second in the 1600 and a third inn the 3200. Chelsea Mason was second in the 3200 and third in the 1600.

The Boys will face Keystone and North Clarion next Wednesday (April 19th) at Keystone. The Girls will face the same schools at North Clarion, the same day.
