Bobcat Cross Country Teams Have Big Weekend (09/19/17)

Bobcat Harriers Battle with Some of District 9’s Best at Bradford Invite

Clarion traveled north Saturday to race many of the top teams in District 9 including Elk County Catholic, Smethport, Kane, Bradford  and 13 other teams!

The Bobcats didn’t disappoint, they had four medalist on the day; Katie Craig, Nathaniel Lerch, Nick Schill and Daniel Ketner.  All top 7 runners were sub 20 minutes and top 5 finishers Fankie Weber and Noah Schill narrowly missed medaling.

The Bobcats finished fourth of 18 teams and have the opportunity to be in the running to take both a boys team to states as well as qualifying Katie Craig for her third straight trip to Hershey!

This will be a big week for the Bobcats, with a dual meet against perennial D9 power Cranberry today (Tuesday, September 19th), a home meet Thursday (September 21st) with AC Valley/Union and a trip to the Foundation Race on the state course Saturday!

Junior High has fine showing at Commodore Perry

The Junior High team traveled to Commodore Perry to run against some of the regions best! The Bobcats medaled two in Bella Scott and Gavin Hoover.

 

The girls finished 9th of 17 teams right behind Cranberry who was 8th.  The Boys didn’t have enough to score but all ran solid individual races!
