Clarion and Cranberry faced off Tuesday on Cranberry’s Course for a dual meet of undefeated teams. In the closely contested girls junior high meet, Clarion was paced by Eva Lerch, Bella Scott and Joyce Kim who finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd to secure the win.

Cranberry was too much for the junior high boys led by stand out Matt Woolcock, but Gavin Hoover had an exceptional race for the Bobcats.

The Feature race of the day was the boys varsity race, Cranberry has been so dominant they have not lost a dual meet in 8 years until today! The Clarion boys did what they said couldn’t be done and hadn’t been done by a Clarion team since the 1987 undefeated team, led Clarion Area graduate turned Clarion University Coach Eric Laughlin.

Nathaniel Lerch led all runners finishing in 18:08, the strength of the Clarion team, the pack then took places three, four, five, six, seven and nine, for a convincing win 19-43!
