Mayor Declares Friday As Clarion Bobcat Football Day (09/27/17)

Clarion Borough Mayor Daniel Parker, on Tuesday, September 26th, issued a proclamation declaring this Friday, September 29th, to be “Clarion Bobcat Football Day.”The proclamation is in commemoration of the Bobcats recording the program’s 500th win, on Friday, September 15th.

After giving a summary of the Bobcat Football program’s history, the proclamation concludes with these fitting statements:

WHEREAS on September 15, 2017, the Clarion High School Bobcat Football Team won their 500th game, an achievement that sparks pride in the hearts of the players, Clarion Area High School alumni, and the entire Clarion community!

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DANIEL PARKER, MAYOR OF THE BOROUGH OF CLARION, do hereby proclaim and declare September 29, 2017, to be Clarion Bobcat Football Day! I ask everybody in Clarion Borough to join in celebration of the team’s achievements.

Given under my hand and the Seal of the Borough of Clarion,this 26th day of September, 2017.

The full proclamation is to be read, at the High School, with the announcements, on Friday morning and will be displayed as part of the ceremony, during the Get-Together commemorating the 500th win, after Friday’s game,at Memorial Stadium, against Moniteau. The Get-Together will be held in the area of the concession stand on the home side, east end of the stadium.

All former Bobcat players, coaches, support staff, cheerleaders and community and school district residents, etc. are encouraged to attend.
