History was made on Tuesday, October 10th, on the strength of 15-49 win over North Clarion for the Bobcat Cross Country Team.
Nathaniel Lerch led all runners in 17:54 to finish the dual meet season undefeated! The next five places were also occupied by Bobcats; Nick Schill, Frank Weber, Don Cunningham, Noah Schill & Daniel Ketner. Andrew Forrest was the top Finisher for the Lions and Josh Holman for the Wolves.
Katie Craig edged out North Clarion to finish first overall in 22:43 in a well-run race.
In the tightest race of the day, the Clarion Junior High girls defeated North Clarion 27-28 with Evelyn Lerch and Bella Scott leading the way. Lerch traversed the 2.1 mile course in 14.08. North Clarion then took places 3, 4 5, 6 and 10.
On the strength of efforts from Joyce Kim, Grace Adams and Abi Frederick, the Clarion Junior High Girls have now completed back-to-back undefeated dual meet seasons.
The Clarion Junior High Boys wrapped things up a victory behind the efforts of overall champion Gavin Hoover and side kick Kaegan Phillips.
We are so proud of this entire group, for their dedication and hard work, starting back in June. They are a tight knit group who enjoy each other. So we celebrate these milestones, but look forward and prepare for the upcoming KSAC and District Nine Championships and beyond. They have done everything we have asked them to, the future looks bright!
