Clarion Volleyball Sweeps The Week (10/01/17)

Volleyball Downs Cranberry 3-0 At Home (Tuesday, September 26th)
The Clarion volleyball team defeated Cranberry, sweeping the visiting Berries 25-11, 25-19, and 25-18. With the win the Bobcats upped their record to 13-5.
Senior Maya Thornton led the Bobcats scoring attack, serving for 10 points (1 ace) and slamming home a team leading 11 kills. Sophomore Maddie Schill contributed 12 points in the victory, notching 10 from the service line (3 aces) and 2 kills. She was followed by senior Alexis Constantino who served for 11 points (2 aces). Freshman Brenna Campbell had 10 points from the service line (3 aces) and doled out a match high 22 assists.
On defense Campbell led the team in digs with 11, while Alexi Constance collected 10, Thornton, 6 and sophomore Kaitlyn Constantino, five.
Bobcats Defeat Warriors On The Road 3-0 (Thursday, September 28th)
The Clarion Bobcat volleyball team swept the homestanding Moniteau Warriors 25-12, 25-13, and 25-12.
Freshman Brenna Campbell served for a team high 12 pts (7 aces), struck for 1 kill, led the team with 22 assists, and came up with 7 digs. Sophomore Kaitlyn Constantino collected 6 service points (4 aces), led the Bobcats with 7 kills, and had 5 digs on defense. Fellow sophomore Maddie Schill had 8 service points (2 aces) and 5 kills. Sydney Kiser, a Bobcat senior, amassed double digit points with 11, 9 coming off the serve (4 aces) and 2 via kills.
Senior Alexis Constantino served for 8 points (3 aces) and scooped up 4 digs. Classmate Maya Thornton had 5 service points (1 ace), 5 kills, and tied Campbell for the team lead in digs with 7.
The win puts the Bobcats’ record at 14-5.
