Lady Cats Volleyball Team Celebrates Senior Night With Win Over Karns City (10/15/14)

The Clarion Area Volleyball Team hosted the Lady Gremlins from Karns City, on Senior Night, Tuesday (October 14) and the Lady Cats came away victorious, in straight sets 25-16, 25-8 and 25-14.

The Team honored their four Senior players, Outside Hitter Anna McNamara; Defensive Specialist, Brooke Allen; Outside Hitter, Jennifer Ochs; and Setter Katie Eustice. The girls, along with their parents, were introduce to the crowd prior to the Varsity match.

Clarion stats for the match:

Ochs had 15 service points, including 7 aces, 6 kills and seven digs. McNamara had three aces among her nine service points, 4 kills, 4 assists and six digs. Anna Reed had 9 service points, including an ace and three digs. Eustice scored 6 service points and had 20 assists plus a kill and eight digs.

Johnna Rapp had 4 service points, two of them aces. Olivia Burns had 2 service points, a kill and a dig. Allen had a service point, an assist and four digs. Morgan Dehner had 1 service point, an ace. Sophie Wolf had six kills. Keanna Over had 5 kills and a dig and Gloria Kroh had five kills.

The Lady Cats JVs won their match, also in straight sets, with both games ending 25-23.

Clarion, now 25-7-2 on the year, will host North Clarion, tomorrow (Thursday, October 16) and then they will participate in the North Allegheny Tournament, on Saturday (October 18).
