Ninth Grade Football Team Downs Keystone (10/20/14)

The Clarion Area Ninth Grade Football Team hosted Keystone on Thursday (October, 16) and came away with a 21-0 victory.

Sterling Conner got Clarion on the board with a 10 yard touchdown run up the middle, at 1:31 of the first quarter. Cameron Craig kicked the PAT and the Cats led 7-0.

Then with just 41 seconds left in the half, Bobcat quarterback Keevan Weaver hit Craig with a pass to the left that went 44 yards for a touchdown. Craig kicked the extra point and the Cats led 14-0 heading into the half.

Weaver hit Cam Hearst on the far right side for the last touchdown of the game. The touchdown, at 2:03 of the fourth quarter, covered 54 yards. Craig was successful on the PAT setting the final 21-0 score.

3rd quarter:

3:37 – Keystone’s Kyle Kapp – interception return to Keystone 25 yard line

4th quarter:

6:59 – Kapp – blocked an aproximately 25 yard field goal attempt and Panther teammate Corey Rapp recovered it and returned it to the Clarion 25  yard line

3:37 – Weaver intercepted a Keystone pass at the Clarion 10 yard line and returned it to the Clarion 40
