Lady Cats Track And Field Team Splits Meet With C-L And Redbank Valley (04/25/15)

The Clarion Area Girls Track and Field team hosted Clarion-Limestone and Redbank Valley on Wednesday (April 23rd). The Lady Cats downed C-L 95-46, but lost to Redbank Valley 105-45.

Gabby Weaver was also a quadruple winner against C-L. She won  the 300 hurdles (59.3), the long jump (11-6) and tied teammate Katie Eustice in the 100 hurdles (18.9). Weaver was also a member of the 4×100 relay team (1:01) along with Aniya Brown, Devon Quinn and Hannah Phillips, against the Lady Lions. Weaver was first in the 300 hurdles against Redbank, second along with Eustice, in the 100 hurdles and third in the long jump.

Jenn Ochs swept the throws against C-L, capturing the javelin (122-0), the shot put (27-3) and the discus (79-10). She took first in the javelin and second in the shot put, against the Lady Bulldogs.

Allison Harriger was a double winner against C-L, winning the 1600 (6:54) and as part of the victorious 4×800 relay (12:53), teaming up with Elizabeth Ketner, Emily Phillips and Chelsea Mason. Harriger finished second in both the 1600 and the 3200 against Redbank and second in the 3200 against C-L.

Forest Mills won the 400 (109.3) and 800 (2:54)  against C-L. She was first in the 400 and third in the 800 against the Bulldogs. Maddie McNamara won the 200 (32.1) and was third in the triple jump against C-L. She was third in the  triple jump against the Bulldogs.

Gloria Kroh won the triple jump (30-0) against both schools and was third in the 100 hurdles against Redbank. Julie Kenneson won the high jump (4-5) and Eustice finished second in the event, against both schools.

Devon Quinn finished second in the 100, Maya Miller finished second in the long jump and Meredith Burkhart took second in both the discus and javelin against C-L. Zoe Shaffer took third in the 400 against both schools and Mason took third in the 800, while Claire Saylor took third, against the Lions, in both the shot put and discus.

The Lady Cats will join the Bobcat Boys team at the Franklin invitational, tomorrow (Saturday, April 25th), both will travel to Cranberry on Monday (April 27th) and to Union next Wednesday (April 29th).
