The Strikers had possession of the ball for most of the first half of play, but they had trouble
getting anything past the fast moving Shenango goalie.

Coach Laura’s passing drills paid off as the Strikers were able to show off their passing, when Bailee Verdill crossed the ball to Brett English, who then got the ball to Riley Milliron, who was able to get the ball in the net. This gave the Strikers a 1-0 lead going into the half.

Shenango Valley was able to work one in past goalie Tyler Bingham, to tie the score at 1-1. That was the only time Shenango was able to put anything past Bingham.

Bailee Verdill was second to score for the Strikers for a score of 2-1. Lexi Coull was the next one that was able to get around the SV goalie on a pass from Verdill to make the score 3-1.

The strong defense of Charlie Franchino, Kaegan Phillips, Kaleb Wolbert and Hayden Condon worked hard to keep the ball at the opponent’s side of the field. Strikers Max Southworth and Nate Megnin worked in some great passing. But it was Lexi Coull who, unassisted, was able to find the net of SV to make the score 4-1.

The last goal of the game came from Striker Bailee Verdill for a final game score of 5-1.

The U-12 Team will travel to Grove City for their first away game of the season.
