District Nine Class-A Volleyball All-Stars: Anna Reed Most Valuable Player, Burns, Over and Kroh Also Named To Squad (11/15/15)

The Pennsylvania Volleyball Association recently announced their 2015 District Nine Class-A All-Star Team, with Clarion Area senior libero Anna Reed being named the Most Valuable Player.

Reed was joined on the first team by Lady Cats teammates Keanna Over, a senior outside hitter and junior outside hitter, Olivia Burns. Gloria Kroh, a junior setter, was named to the second team.

Several other KSAC players were named to this year’s All-Star Team. A-C Valley had a trio of seniors make the first team: middle hitter Morgan Cratty, and outside hitters Katie Stumpner and Halee Wetzel.

Redbank Valley had three players named:  Becca Dougherty, a senior outside hitter was named to the second team, along with senior rightside hitter Suzie Gourley. Their teammate, senior libero Kimberly Shick was named to the third team.

North Clarion sophomore middle hitter Tori Obenrader also made the third team.

Others to make the 2015 All-Star Team were: (first team) Cassidy Cunningham, Elk County Catholic (OH); (second team) Mackenzie Gahr, Elk County Catholic (OH), Allison Cousins, Otto-Eldred (OH), Camryn Thomas, Otto-Eldred (MH); (third team) Reilly Herzing (MH), Kara Detsch (S), Brianna Bell (OH), Brooke Kane-Walker (OH).
