The 10th annual Fall Kick-Off Bonfire, held at the Clarion Area football field on Thursday (September 10th), looked a bit different this year.

With a 250 person limit and over 120 athletes and marching band member, the only spectators in the stands were senior parents. That didn’t stop the bonfire from being a success!

Doug Klein emceed the event, and it started off with the playing of our National Anthem performed by the always wonderful Clarion Singers and our very own Clarion Area Marching Band! The athletes from Wildcat Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Cross Country and Golf, and the Marching Band lined up, forming a tunnel (with masks on, of course), and each person was recognized and celebrated.

The Golf Team presented with the pallet trophy

Each team was asked to decorate a pallet and Superintendent, Dr. Joe Carrico, presented the trophy to this year’s winner, The Golf Team! It was a refreshing evening of “normalcy” for our boys and girls of Fall!

Clarion Area would like to thank Clarion Borough for allowing the event and Clarion Fire & Hose Co. for the awesome bonfire.
