Logan Powell 3rd, Josh Beal 8th, Wildcats 20th At Ultimate Warrior Wrestling Tournament

The Central Clarion Wildcats wrestling team competed in the Ultimate Warrior Tournament, on Friday and Saturday, January 26th and 27th, at West Branch High School.

The team finished 20th out of a field of 44 teams, that is the most competitive event of the year for the Wildcats.

Logan Powell was Central Clarion’s top finisher, garnering third place at 133 pounds. Also placing was Josh Beal who finished eighth at 285 pounds. Logan had five wins during the event, three pins and two decisions. Josh had four wins, two pins and two decisions.

Mason Gourley picked up three wins, two pins and a major decision at 172. Jake Henry had a pair of wins by pin and a decision at 160.

Brendon Wright and Ethan Rex also registered wins for the Wildcats. Brendon had a decision at 139 pounds and Ethan had a pin at 172 pounds.
