Delta Advances With Win In C.A.L.L. Playoff Opener (06/15/15)

Delta Builders downed Burns and Burns 14-1, in their opening round game of the Clarion Little League Baseball playoffs, tonight (Tuesday, June 16th), at Paul A. Weaver Park.

The game was tight early on, with the game tied at 1 run apiece after two. But Delta pushed 11 runs across the plate, in the top of the third, to take control of the contest and then scored 3 more runs in the fourth to seal the victory.

Ryan Hummell had a big night for Delta hitting a double and a triple and scoring four runs. Jonah Hedson had a double and a single and scored once.

Jase Ferguson and Ethan Burford each singled and scored two runs. Noah Harrison and Cody Whitling each had singles an a run scored. Breckin Rex, Michael Snyder and Cooper Shall each scored a run.

Burford was the winning pitcher.

Dawson Smail scored Burns and Burns’ run. Braydon Murray, Jesse Lewis and Logan Lerch all had singles for Burns and Burns.

Delta advances to play Rotary tomorrow night (Wednesday, June 17th), at 5:45 PM, in the first game of a semifinal double-header. The second game will feature SMI and Lions. Game time for that one is 7:45 PM.
