Bobcat Runners Have Fine Day At Slippery Rock Invitational (10/02/16)

The Clarion Area Bobcat Varsity runners traveled to Coopers Lake to compete in the Slippery Rock University Invitational on Saturday, October 1st.
For the Girls: Chelsea Mason took 2nd place in the Class A division with a time of 22:27, finishing 55th out of 217 runners. Katie Craig took 3rd place at 23:19, finishing #71 overall.
Gabriella Fleming ranked #6 in Class A with a time of 25:27. That was good for 126th overall while Emma Spitz finished 9th at 26:39, taking 150th place.
The Boys were victorious in team scoring by beating New Brighton, Brentwood, Charters-Houston and three other Class A schools in the process.
Senior Adam Bettwy won the Class A division by finishing at 17:52, good for 32nd place overall out of the 336 runners who competed. Nathaniel Lerch crossed at 19:26 which was good for 5th in the division and 112th overall. Nick Schill took 10th place at 20:21 which placed him in the 170th spot among all runners.
Frank Weber followed shortly after at 20:31. He took 12th in Class A and 184th overall. Noah Schill crossed at 21:29 in 15th place for the Class and 233rd place overall. Daniel Ketner crossed in 18th place at 21:54, making him the 260th overall finisher.
Alex Cussins crossed three places later in 21st place with a time of 22:54, good for 288th overall. Nate Datko closed out the Bobcat field at 25:30, good for 326th place.
