Clarion Hosts Novice Elementary Wrestling Tournament (01/15/14)

The Clarion Wrestling Boosters hosted their Annual Novice Elementary Wrestling Tournament, on Saturday, January 4th.

There were scores of wrestlers, from a number of schools, that participated in the tournament. And the young athletes competed in front of an audience that numbered in the hundreds.

Although there were points given, and winners and losers in the matches, no one came away a loser, as there were no place medals given, but instead each participant received a participation medal.

The Tournament’s success was due in large part, to the volunteers, among them the Clarion Area Junior High and Varsity Wrestlers, who helped by working the scorers tables and officiating the bouts.
