Lady Cats Down West Forest On Hardwood (01/23/14)

Maci Thornton, Kyla Miles and Grace Kroh all scored in double figures, as the homestanding, Clarion Girls Basketball Team defeated Lady Indians of West Forest on Wednesday night, 55-18.

Thornton and Miles each had 16 points. Thornton also had 4 rebounds, 4 steals, 4 assists and a block, while Miles had 3 rebounds and a steal. Kroh registered a double-double with 10 points and eleven rebounds. She also had a block.

The Lady Cats led 16-0, after one and 29-10, at the half and 52-12, after the third period.

Nicki Glenn scored 8 points, including a 3-pointer. She also had a rebound. Anna Reed had 4 points, a rebound, a steal and an assist. Olivia Bartley scored 1 point and had two rebounds.

Paige Weaver and Laken Ganoe each had three rebounds and Ganoe also had a steal. Kaitlyn Beichner had 2 rebounds. Sophie Wolf and Kelly Beveridge each had a rebound.

The Lady Cat JVs won their game, a 29-27 squeaker. West Forest led 8-5, after one, 14-13, at halftime and 22-18, heading into the last quarter. But an 11-5, Clarion scoring edge, in the fourth, gave the Bobcats the two-point win.

Anna Reed led the Clarion JVs, with 8 points, 2 rebounds and five steals. Julie Kenneson and Sophie Wolf each had 4 points and a rebound.

Kelly Beveridge, Maddie Weaver and Jenna Beichner, all had three points. Beveridge also had 3 steals, a rebound and two assists. Weaver had 4 rebounds and an assist and Beichner had a rebound.

Lauren Wiser and Gloria Kroh each scored two points. Wiser had 4 rebounds, an assist and two steals and Kroh had 3 rebounds, an assist and a block. Nicki Glenn had four rebounds. Keanna Over and Caitlyn Hill each had a rebound, with Hill also having a steal.

The Lady Cats will travel to North Clarion on Friday.
