Four Bobcats Chosen To Play In Sportsmanship-I All-Star Games (03/25/14)

The 14th Annual Sportsmanship I – Clarion County YMCA District Nine All-Star Basketball Games will take place, this Saturday (March 29th) at the Clarion High School Main Gym.

The Girls’ Game will start at 6:00 p.m. with the Boys’ Game following at approximately 7:30 p.m. There will be 40 senior boys and girls competing. Among them will be four Clarion Bobcats.

Antonio Troese will be on the Boys’ Red Squad, coached by Jon Songer from Cameron County. Ellis Painter will be on the Boys’ Blue Squad, coached by Joe Ferguson from Clarion-Limestone.

Kyla Miles and Grace Kroh will both be on the Girls’ Black Squad, coached by Bob Hannon from Bradford. Karns City’s Dave Kerschbaumer will coach the Girls’ White Squad.

The proceeds from the games will go to the YMCA’s Camp Coffman.

There will be a 32-point shooting contest. The preliminary round will begin at 4:30 p.m.  Player registration will start at 4 p.m.
