Eat’n Park Wins Pair Of Senior Little League Softball Games In Dominating Fashion (06/13/14)

(By Jeff Rudesyle, Eat’n Park Manager)

Eat’n Park continued a very successful Senior League season with a pair of victories within the past week, allowing a total of one hit between the two games. After squaring off against each other for the past three years as opponents, two dominant Clarion pitchers are now teammates, and Eat’n Park is benefitting quite nicely.

Last Thursday June 5th in Knox, Eat’n Park defeated Keystone’s Pizza Shop team,13-2, behind the strong pitching of Sadie Rudesyle, who pitched 6 innings of one-hit softball. Rudesyle struck out 12 and walked 1. Cora Zerfoss and Megan Schimp led the way for Eat’n Park with 3 hits a piece, while Rudesyle had 2, followed by hits from Alexis Constantino, Maya Thorton and Dawn McClaine.

This past Tuesday, Eat’n Park hosted AC Valley’s Perry team. Alexis Constantino was nearly flawless, as she pitched a dominating 4 inning no hitter. Constantino struck out 8 and walked 2, as no balls were hit to the outfield. Dawn McClaine led the offensive attack with a pair of singles, while Constantino, Megan Schimp, Brooke Bowser and Carly Best each chipped in with a hit.
