The Riversharks Swim Team is a competitive team under the direction of the Clarion County YMCA and the CENKEY Swim League. Children ages 5 through 18 with swimming ability can participate in the program, held at Clarion University’s Tippin Natatorium.

This year the program is under the direction of Head Coach Samantha Van Dyke. Van Dyke has 12 years of swimming experience, including four on the Clarion University Swim Team. She is a former NCAA qualifier and placed in the top 8 in the 100 and 200 Butterfly four consecutive years while with Clarion. This will be her second year coaching the team, along with several assistant coaches.

In their inaugural year, the Riversharks consisted of 65 area swimmers.

The team was very successful, sending 12 swimmers to the Western Pennsylvania Districts Meet in Youngstown, Ohio and two on to States at Penn State University’s McCoy Natatorium.
